About Natalynn's Wish

Natalynn's Wish is a memorial to Natalynn Lea Miller and a campaign to raise awareness about child abuse. Natalynn was three years old when she was taken from us in 2009. This site was built by her father, Troy Miller, to keep her memory alive, to tell her story, and to help protect other children.

Our Mission

We exist to honor Natalynn and to turn heartbreak into something that helps other families. That means three things: remembrance — preserving Natalynn's story and the moments that made her who she was; awareness — helping people recognize the signs of child abuse and understand how to act on them; and support — standing with the organizations and advocates working to keep children safe.

Technology for the Cause

Natalynn's Wish grew out of a simple conviction: the powerful, open-source technology used by the world's largest companies should also be available to the local nonprofits and community organizations that need it most. We build and maintain websites, tools, and resources on the open-source ecosystem, and we offer them to the child-abuse-prevention community — so that groups doing this vital work can spend less on technology and more on the children they serve. If that describes your organization, we would be honored to help.

Recognizing & Preventing Child Abuse

Child abuse can be physical, emotional, or sexual, and it includes neglect. It often happens quietly, behind closed doors. Warning signs can include unexplained injuries, sudden changes in behavior, fear of going home, or a child who withdraws from the people and activities they once loved.

If something feels wrong, trust it. You do not need to be certain to make a call — trained professionals can help you decide what to do next. Reporting a concern can save a child's life.
